FAQ

Easy-OnAir — FAQ

Licence, connection, TouchPlayer and product questions.

Licence & Internet

Does Easy-OnAir need to stay connected to the Internet?

No. Easy-OnAir does not verify the licence continuously while the ticker is running.

How often is the licence checked?

A periodic verification is scheduled every two weeks.

What happens if I cancel my subscription?

Cancellation does not immediately stop the application. Easy-OnAir Ticker continues to work as long as the current subscription period has not expired. The application informs you of the cancellation and the access end date.

What happens when my subscription expires?

When the subscription period has actually expired, protected licence features are disabled, including the START button.

Does losing the Internet connection mean my licence has expired?

No. A missing Internet connection is not automatically treated as a licence expiration.

Why do I sometimes need to connect to the Internet?

The connection allows Easy-OnAir to verify your subscription and update your licence information.

How long can I use Easy-OnAir offline?

After a successful verification, Easy-OnAir defines an offline verification period. The current period is one month after the last successful verification.

What happens if I keep using the application without reconnecting?

ABOUT informs you when a new verification is needed and shows the relevant deadline. If no verification is completed before that date, offline authorization expires and protected features are disabled.

Why does ABOUT show a warning?

ABOUT can warn you when the next verification is approaching, giving you time to temporarily connect the computer to the Internet.

What should I do when ABOUT asks for verification?

Temporarily connect the computer to the Internet so Easy-OnAir can verify the licence. A successful verification renews the offline period according to the licence rules.

Free Trial

How does the 14-day free trial work?

Every customer can use the 14-day free trial once per Easy-OnAir product. The trial is available when subscribing for the first time.

Does changing plans or variants give me another free trial?

No. Changing plans or variants does not reset the trial. If you have already used your free trial for an Easy-OnAir product, you can still purchase or change plans, but the new subscription starts without another free trial.

What happens if I cancel my subscription?

Canceling an existing subscription does not restore the free trial. If you return after your previous subscription has expired, you can purchase a new subscription, but it will start without another free trial.

Activations & subscriptions

How many machines can I activate?

Each Easy-OnAir Ticker licence allows activation on up to 2 machines.

Can I change machines?

Yes. If you want to use Easy-OnAir Ticker on a new machine, you can cancel your current subscription and subscribe again for the new machine.

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Yes. Cancellation stops the subscription from continuing. The application remains functional while the current subscription period is still valid.

Features & TouchPlayer

What determines whether TICKER or CG is available?

The features included in your Easy-OnAir licence determine which interfaces are available. TICKER is available when the licence authorizes LTR or RTL. CG is available when the licence includes CG.

What is included in ABOUT?

ABOUT groups useful installation and licence information, including the customer, subscription, available features, activations, status and relevant dates.

What happens if I open a saved project with TouchPlayer Non-Commercial?

The saved licence state must not be reused automatically in the Non-Commercial environment. A new validation with the licence server is required.

Does Easy-OnAir include TouchPlayer?

No. Easy-OnAir Ticker and TouchPlayer are separate products. TouchPlayer is purchased separately from Derivative.

Which TouchPlayer licence is required for commercial use?

A TouchPlayer Commercial licence is sufficient for commercial use of Easy-OnAir Ticker. It is purchased separately from Derivative.
